Artists and Venues: Listing a Gig and Buying Gig Tickets
This section is for artists and venues only, and sets out our simple rules regarding use of the Site by artists and venues, and booking and playing gigs through this Site.
We're happy to store the arist and venue details that you upload on the Site, but we reserve the right to take down any listing or posting if we think it's misleading, untruthful, unlawful or if it might otherwise expose us to any form of liability. We also reserve the right to cancel your registration if you upload /post /list that kind of stuff.
If you book a slot at a gig you are making a commitment to turn up and play on the day. If you don't turn up (unless it's for reasons beyond your control) the punters, fans and the venue won't be happy and nor will we. We reserve the right to recover any losses and costs incurred by us or the venue as a result of any failure to turn up (except for the reasons stated). If you know you're going to have trouble keeping your commitment PLEASE LET THE VENUE KNOW IMMEDIATELY and try to fix up an alternative, but we retain our rights to recover from you as stated if that's not possible.
To book a gig through the Site you need to request a booking with the artist or venue you want and await confirmation through the site and email.
The availability of slots and gigs is based on information supplied on the site by the venues. We rely on that information just as you do, and we do our best to make sure it's correct, but we can't be responsible if it's wrong (unless it's our mistake). If for some reason a venue that you have booked is not available on the night, we'll do our best to let you know as soon as we can and try to arrange another gig on another date for you.
Fans and Punters: Buying Gig Tickets
We may sell tickets from time to time for the artists and venues gigs from this Site, and this section applies to those sales. Note that in this section we use the word "ticket" to apply to any kind of ticket, not necessarily just the traditional kind. Some venues may issue coloured wristbands. Some may not issue physical tickets at all. That's just all part of the excitement.
As regards the mechanics of purchasing tickets from us, if and when tickets become available the tickets you select will automatically be placed in your "shopping basket". Once you have pressed the "checkout" button you will be asked to provide certain information to allow us or a service provider engaged by us to process your order. You may pay for tickets using PayPal or other options we may offer from time to time only.] [Please remember that prices may exclude other charges, which may be added to the total amount and will be calculated and displayed on screen prior to your payment details being taken.
Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an order confirmation on screen and/or by email (provided that you have given us a valid email address) acknowledging that we have received your order. This doesn't mean that your order has been accepted. Your order represents an offer to us that is accepted by us only when we send you a "dispatch confirmation" by email confirming that your tickets have been dispatched or are ready for collection (as applicable). Although we're unlikely to do so, we may reject your order for any reason prior to acceptance. Orders will not be accepted if we do not receive cleared payment, for example. Please note that with fraud being an ever-growing concern, we may ask you to provide us with additional information after you have made your booking so that we can verify your identity and/or purchase.
As soon as you receive your tickets please check that they are correct and as ordered - and let us know straight away if they are not. If there is a problem with your order, please don't leave it until the last minute to get in touch. Drop us an email or give us a ring at least three working days before the gig and we'll do our best to sort it out.
We are unable to issue refunds for unwanted, lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets. So, when you receive your tickets, please keep them in a safe place and not down the back of your sofa. And certainly don't feed them to your dog, no matter how longingly he eyes them up.
If a gig is cancelled, or the date of the gig is changed after you have booked, we will be more than happy to give you a face value refund. Please remember it's your responsibility to check if a gig is going ahead as advertised. If you need to send your tickets back to us, please send them by recorded post as if they get lost we won't be able to give you a refund.
As you're doubtless aware, musicians, bless their cotton socks, are not always the most reliable or organised of people. Prone to double-booking themselves, getting lost, and/or turning up at the wrong pub, trying to get them to the right place at the right time can be difficult at the best of times. We therefore reserve the right to change a gig line-up if necessary - for these or any other reasons beyond our control. We'll do our best to make sure everything runs smoothly, but we're sure you'll have a great night whoever is performing. That's the magic of live music!
Remember: the rules and policies of the venue in question will apply when you attend a gig. Don't turn up blind drunk, try to do an impromptu floor spot, and/or act in any other antisocial way, as if you do you are likely to be refused admission or asked to leave. Please also make sure you're aware of the venue's age restrictions (if any) before buying tickets. We will not be able to give you a refund if you are refused entry at a venue, or if you are thrown out, for failing to comply with the venue's rules and policies. Also, we're not responsible for anything that happens to you or your possessions at the gig – that's down to you and the venue.
Finally, please make sure that we always have up-to-date contact details for you, including a valid email address, in case we need to get in touch. If your tickets are returned to us as "addressee unknown" we reserve the right to cancel your order. So, don't forget to let us know if you move house!!
Cancellations
If a venue cancels a booked event within 7 days of the event date, there is a 50% cancellation fee. If a venue cancels a booked event within 28 days of the event date, when the date of that event is the 31st December (New Years Eve), there is a 50% cancellation fee.
Content Provided by You
The Site allows you to upload certain types of content ("User Content"). By uploading User Content you are granting us a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free licence to host the User Content on our servers and to reproduce, display, distribute and otherwise to communicate the User Content to the public on the Site and in connection with the Services and with other Live Sounds Good Limited products and services now existing or developed in future.
We may incorporate links in and around your User Content and display advertisements within, around or in connection with your User Content. We will not, however, sell, distribute or communicate to the public your User Content outside of the Services. As between you and us, you will retain ownership of your User Content at all times.
We can't promise that we will use all User Content uploaded or otherwise provided to us. If we do use it we do our best to protect it from abuse, but we cannot be responsible for any unauthorised use of User Content (except by us) or for any loss of User Content, so please keep a copy.
Please do not upload or submit any User Content if you don't have the right to do so – if it's a piece of music or a photo for example that someone else owns, or has any interest in, and you have not got their consent. You must have all the rights necessary to any User Content you upload, and by uploading you're promising to us that you have all those rights. If you break that promise, you're in breach of these Terms (so see the section headed "Termination" below).
We want to keep the Site clean and friendly. Please do not upload User Content that is offensive, racist, harassing, illegal, misleading, abusive, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable. If you do, it will be liable to be taken down and we will regard you as being in breach of these Terms (so see the section headed "Termination" below).
We do our best to monitor and moderate most User Content but we cannot monitor it all, and we don't undertake to monitor it all, and you therefore could be at risk yourself if you post anything objectionable. If you do upload objectionable content we may be obliged to pass copies to appropriate authorities.
As you might expect, we reserve the right to take down any User Content that breaches, or that we think may breach, any of the above rules.
Blogs, Forums, Message Boards
Where the Site provides blogs, forums or message boards, you will need to register with the Site to use these Services.
All postings are treated as User Content and are subject to the User Content rules above.
We strongly advise you not to post your contact or other personal details on any forums or message boards.
Termination
We reserve the right, among other things, to suspend or terminate your access to this Site if you are in breach of these Terms, for example by posting User Content that is unsuitable.
Artists and Venues can delete their account anytime.
